340 million vehicles, 420 million people! The latest national statistics for motor vehicles and drivers in the first half of the year.

As of June 2019, the national motor vehicle stock totaled 340 million, including 250 million automobiles; the number of motor vehicle drivers reached 420 million, of whom 380 million were automobile drivers. In the first half of 2019, the national automobile stock stood at 250 million, with private cars accounting for 198 million. By June, automobiles made up 74.58% of the total motor vehicle fleet, and private cars—small and micro passenger vehicles registered under individual names—numbered 198 million. During the first half of 2019, 12.42 million new vehicles were registered, a decrease of 1.39 million compared with the same period last year.

Multi‑storey Parking | Another public multi‑storey parking garage in Shaoxing’s urban area is set to open soon.

Recently, the public multi‑storey parking facility on the north side of the intersection of Zhongxing North Road and Chang’an West Street, implemented by the Urban Investment Group, has successfully passed its completion acceptance. Located on the north side of this intersection, the facility is currently the tallest urban public multi‑storey garage in Yuecheng District, with a building height of 11.85 meters. It comprises one above‑ground floor (with some sections extending to two floors) totaling 2,580 square meters, and one underground floor measuring 221.5 square meters. The garage can accommodate 93 vehicles, has a design service life of 25 years, and required a total investment of approximately RMB 13.28 million. Construction commenced in August 2018, and the steel‑structure superstructure was topped out on January 20, 2019.
