Multi‑storey Parking | Nanchang is building a multi‑storey, intelligent public parking facility—the largest single‑site project of its kind in the country to date.

According to reports, the Jiangnai Road Multi‑Level Parking Garage in Nanchang has topped out and is scheduled to begin operations in the first half of next year. The project is currently the largest single‑structure, multi‑level, intelligent public parking facility in China. Located on Jiangnai Road in Qingyunpu District, the site is surrounded by three major commercial hubs—Shizijie Wangfujing, Simamiao Building Materials Market, and Hongcheng Grand Market—where pedestrian, vehicular, logistical, and commercial flows intersect intensively, leading to severe issues with haphazard vehicle parking. To address the persistent “parking shortage,” Nanchang State‑Owned Assets Industry Group and its subsidiary, Jiangxi Refractory Materials Co., Ltd., demolished nearly 10,000 square meters of retail space in the heart of the Simamiao Building Materials Market and built the Jiangnai Road Multi‑Level Parking Garage.

Shenzhen launches a pilot program to assign parking “registration numbers” to vehicles, helping to ease the city’s hospital parking crunch.

Shenzhen launches a pilot program to assign parking “registration numbers” to vehicles, helping to ease the city’s hospital parking crunch.

Plagued by both a shortage of high-quality medical resources and inadequate parking, the difficulty of finding parking at hospitals has become a persistent urban problem. On the 16th, Shenzhen unveiled the “e‑Yue Ting” hospital parking reservation scheme, which integrates data from the “Health 160” platform and hospital official WeChat accounts. After making an appointment for registration, patients can also reserve a parking space, helping to alleviate the parking crunch at hospitals. Currently, the Shenzhen Traffic Police, in collaboration with the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission, is piloting this reservation system at three city‑wide hospitals, leveraging information technology and a “sharing” approach. Patients who book appointments online can simultaneously reserve a parking spot. The “e‑Yue Ting” hospital parking reservation scheme was developed by Shenzhen Special…

Singaporean Media: China’s “Parking Shortage” Creates New Business Opportunities

On December 15, Singapore’s AsiaOne website published an article titled “China’s Parking Shortage Is Fueling Tech Startups That Attract Massive Funding.” In November, Wang Ranran earned a salary of 18,000 yuan—her highest income to date. She is a manager at a parking‑management company in Beijing. Her workday begins at 8 a.m., primarily focused on ensuring that the company’s smart parking system, operating in Shanghai, accurately displays real-time traffic and occupancy data. “If I weren’t working in parking management,” she said, “I’d be back home earning just a few thousand yuan a month.” According to Hony Capital, China’s parking market…

This rooftop features a multi‑level parking garage, with robots handling your car—pick‑up or drop‑off takes just three minutes.

A three‑level automated parking garage has been built on the rooftop, operating unmanned around the clock and allowing drivers to retrieve their vehicles in just three minutes. On the 12th, a reporter from the Yangtze Daily–Yangtze Net learned from the Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission that this rare rooftop multi‑storey parking facility—uncommon in China—was independently developed and designed by a Wuhan state‑owned enterprise. Located atop a four‑story mixed‑use building at Fudi Haishang on Jiangang Road in Hanyang, the parking structure has been completed and in operation for nearly four months. “As part of the residential complex’s supporting infrastructure, a parking facility was required to pass inspection; however, constructing an underground garage would have been prohibitively expensive at the time, so the developer turned to us,” said the chairman of the Industrial Control Research Institute, a subsidiary of Wuhan Industrial Holdings Group, which served as the project’s R&D and design partner.
