The reporter learned that the Jiangnai Road multi‑level parking project in Nanchang has topped out and is scheduled to begin operations in the first half of next year. According to reports, it is currently the largest single‑structure, automated, public parking facility in China.

On Jiangnai Road in Qingyunpu District, the area is surrounded by three major commercial hubs—the Shizijie Wangfujing, the Simamiao Building Materials Market, and the Hongcheng Grand Market—where pedestrian, vehicular, logistical, and commercial flows intersect. However, the problem of haphazard vehicle parking remains severe. To address this “parking shortage,” Nanchang State-owned Assets Industry Group and its subsidiary, Jiangxi Refractory Materials Co., Ltd., demolished nearly 10,000 square meters of retail space located in the heart of the Simamiao Building Materials Market and built a multi‑level parking facility on Jiangnai Road. According to reports, the project involves a total investment of RMB 100 million, occupies 6,800 square meters of land, has a floor area of 21,000 square meters, and is designed to accommodate 1,200 parking spaces.
