New-energy vehicles are set to take off! Henan has introduced a new policy: parking fees will be cut by half or waived entirely!
Recently, the General Office of the People’s Government of Henan Province issued a notice (hereinafter referred to as the “Notice”) on the promulgation of the “Several Policies of Henan Province for Accelerating the Promotion and Application of New Energy Vehicles.” The Notice sets forth 20 specific measures across four key areas: actively fostering a market for the promotion and application of new energy vehicles, creating a favorable environment for their use, further strengthening infrastructure development, and encouraging innovation in new energy vehicle application models. Notably, addressing the issue of charging—of particular concern to new energy vehicle owners—the Notice includes provisions on securing land for supporting facilities and on the construction of charging infrastructure in residential communities. In addition, it outlines preferential parking policies for new energy vehicles.

In June 2019, a series of parking policies came into effect!!!
In May–June 2019, a series of parking policies came into effect. The China Parking Network Market Research Center (MRCPO) has compiled the following: New Regulation No. 1: “Implementation Plan for Deepening Reform of the Toll Road System and Abolishing Provincial Border Toll Stations on Expressways” (Document No. 23 [2019] issued by the General Office of the State Council), promulgated on May 16, 2019. The plan explicitly states that by the end of 2019, the proportion of vehicles using ETC at expressway entrances in each province should reach over 90%. Furthermore, starting July 1, 2020, newly approved vehicle models must include an ETC onboard unit as an optional configuration. The plan mandates that the Ministry of Transport take the lead in accelerating the current…

Parking Update | Bought two parking spaces for nearly 480,000 yuan—yet you have to tuck in your stomach just to get out of the car?
He spent nearly 480,000 yuan on two parking spaces, but the space between them is so narrow that he can’t even open his car doors properly when getting in or out. The owner has no choice but to squeeze his body, lean sideways, and carefully slide into and out of the car. Meanwhile, the developer insists the parking spaces meet standard dimensions. “Am I supposed to trade in my car just for a better parking spot?” the owner wonders. Recently, Mr. Lin, who lives in northern Hangzhou, reported that the apartment he purchased comes with two adjacent underground parking spaces, which together cost him nearly 480,000 yuan. However, the two spaces are squeezed between two walls, leaving no room for the car doors to open fully once the vehicle is parked. He has made numerous attempts to resolve the issue, but so far, there’s still no solution. Mr. Lin’s two connected parking spaces…

To boost consumer spending in the automotive market, Guangdong’s preferential policies are truly impressive!
To stimulate consumer spending in the automotive market, Guangdong’s favorable policies are truly impressive! Recently, the General Office of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the General Office of the Guangdong Provincial Government issued the “Implementation Plan for Improving the Mechanisms and Systems to Promote Consumption in Guangdong Province” (hereinafter referred to as the “Plan”). Addressing the most pressing issues currently hindering consumption, the Plan outlines 29 specific measures across nine key areas, aiming to stabilize and enhance consumer expectations, foster a conducive consumption environment, and help build a robust, unified market. To encourage activity in the used-car market, vehicles meeting National V emission standards may continue to be sold during a transitional period. According to relevant data, in 2018, Guangdong Province ranked first nationwide in used-car transactions, accounting for 12.8% of the national total—equivalent to 1.7681 million vehicles.

Several Miniaturized Design Solutions for Reducing Intelligent Garage Inventory-Handling Time
As urban parking challenges continue to intensify, mechanical multi‑storey car parks have seen increasingly widespread adoption. However, users generally remain dissatisfied with these systems, primarily because they are not sufficiently convenient to use. In fact, intelligent parking solutions such as flat‑move, aisle‑stacking, and vertical‑lift systems are quite user‑friendly; yet they account for less than 10% of the market. Meanwhile, lift‑and‑slide car parks—making up over 80% of the market—while capable of addressing or alleviating parking shortages, receive low marks for convenience and safety, leading to a widespread perception that “mechanical car parks” equate to lift‑and‑slide systems. Why, then, do smart parking systems that are both convenient and safe occupy only a small share of the market?
