Parking Meeting |2019 Annual Technical Symposium on Mechanical Parking Equipment


July 31, 2019– On August 1, the Parking Equipment Working Committee of the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association convened its 2019 Technical Symposium on Mechanical Parking Equipment and the Association’s Board of Directors Meeting in Harbin, Heilongjiang. With the theme “Craftsmanship, Innovation, and Integration,” the event drew 192 delegates from parking equipment manufacturers and related enterprises across the country.

At 3:00 p.m. on July 31, a kickoff meeting was held to launch the drafting of the “Mechanical Multi‑Storey Parking Garage” and “Installation and Maintenance of Parking Equipment” standards.

At 7:30 p.m. on July 31, the Board of Directors Meeting of the Parking Equipment Working Committee of the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association will be held.

At 8:30 a.m. on August 1, the Technical Seminar on Mechanical Parking Equipment commenced, chaired by Zhang Min, Secretary-General of the Parking Equipment Working Committee of the China National Heavy Machinery Industry Association.

First, Ming Yanhua, Chairperson of the Parking Equipment Working Committee of the China National Heavy Machinery Industry Association, delivered a speech. Chairperson Ming pointed out that, regardless of the stage of development of the parking industry, there will always be industry-specific challenges, pain points, and irregularities. He expressed the hope that, at this conference, industry experts, guest speakers, and participating delegates would speak candidly, propose practical solutions, pursue concrete actions, and strive for tangible results in addressing the issues that currently hinder the sector’s progress.
This seminar has invited a total of Thirteen experts and scholars delivered remarks.

School of Transportation, Northeast Forestry University Dean Pei Yulong
Presentation Title: “An Analysis of Parking Supply and Demand in Harbin and a Discussion on Improvement Strategies”
Dean Pei Yulong shared with the attendees an overview of four key areas: the current state of Harbin’s parking system, an analysis of parking supply and demand, policies and measures for parking management, and case studies of parking‑management improvements.

Speech Title: “Charging Safety in Automated Parking Garages”
Manager Sun Peng outlined that factors affecting charging safety include the presence of open circuits in the charging loop, a lack of interaction between charging and parking, and the inadvertent application of high voltage to the battery when no charging is taking place. Blue Bean’s safety strategy addresses these issues by using connector assemblies to resolve open‑circuit problems, integrating parking and charging to ensure proper interaction, and deploying a centralized charging system to prevent high‑voltage from being applied to the battery during non‑charging periods. Additionally, a charging strategy for vehicles without a load on the platform was proposed.

Interpreted by Shang Hong, a first-level researcher at the Elevator and Lifting Machinery Division of the Special Equipment Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation. New licensing rules, including the “Rules for Licensing Units Engaged in the Production and Filling of Special Equipment” (TSG 07-2019), which came into effect on June 1, 2019, were introduced, and on-site Q&A sessions were conducted.

2019 Expert Committee Working Meeting
Following the technical seminar, a working meeting of the Expert Committee was convened. During the meeting, the association nominated candidates for the chair and vice‑chairs of the new term of the Technical Expert Committee, and all attending experts approved the nominations by unanimous vote. The chair of the Technical Expert Committee is Li Xiangqi, with Xu Weijun, Zhang Ruifeng, Ma Gang, Tao Tianhua, Xu Mingjin, and Ma Jingshan serving as vice‑chairs, and Xu Wanling appointed as advisor. In addition, the “Administrative Measures for the Technical Expert Committee of the Parking Equipment Working Committee” were adopted, bringing the working meeting to a successful conclusion.
