Hardware infrastructure is key—letting oddball parking‑space hogs become a thing of the past!
Nowadays, cars have become a staple in most households, an essential part of daily life. More and more people are buying vehicles, and even before we get to the issue of traffic congestion, simply finding a parking spot can be a major headache for car owners. In some well-planned new residential complexes, there may be plenty of parking spaces, but if you live in a bustling city center or an older neighborhood, parking is often in short supply. To ensure they’ll have a spot when they get home, many drivers have developed a new “skill”: securing a parking space in advance! In some older neighborhoods, where no designated parking areas have been planned, this has led to a situation where “first come, first served” reigns supreme. To…

The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development interprets the new policy: encouraging the development of multi‑level parking facilities.
For some time now, urban on‑street parking and the difficulty of finding parking in residential communities have been major concerns. The Ministry of Housing and Urban–Rural Development and the Ministry of Land and Resources have issued the “Notice on Further Improving Urban Parking Lot Planning, Construction, and Land‑Use Policies” (hereinafter referred to as the “Notice”), which sets out relevant provisions for refining urban parking‑lot planning, construction, and land‑use policies. In this regard, Liu Heming, Inspector of the Urban Construction Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban–Rural Development, stated: To improve the current situation, on the one hand, we must adopt rational design and explore every possible means to maximize parking capacity within limited space; on the other hand, we can also enhance the level of informationization and intelligent management by implementing franchising, thereby raising the professionalism of parking‑facility management, from…

In the era of the industrial internet, new requirements for building urban parking platforms!
As digitalization deepens, the mobile internet is shifting from a consumer‑oriented model to an industrial‑oriented one. While the evolution of the internet has dramatically enhanced consumers’ experiences, many traditional enterprises still rely on relatively conventional and outdated processes across their internal production and manufacturing operations. Industrial internet represents a further advancement in this development paradigm, leveraging next‑generation information technologies—such as the internet, mobile internet, the Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence—and employing connectivity, interaction, and computation as its three core pillars to permeate every stage of production and manufacturing within businesses and institutions.

The Datang Dongyuan Fortune Plaza project has successfully passed acceptance inspection.
On May 15, the mechanical parking equipment project for Building No. 4 at Datang Dongyuan Fortune Plaza (Project P051), undertaken by Guizhou Haiyue Technology Group, successfully passed acceptance inspection. Located in Datang Dongyuan Fortune Plaza, Guanshanhu District, Guiyang City, the project covers a total area of 9,290.82 square meters and is distributed across Basement Levels B1 and B2. On B1, the equipment comprises 11 bays of two‑level lift-and‑slide systems, with two bays designed in a front‑and‑rear configuration, providing 91 parking spaces. On B2, the system includes 13 bays of three‑level lift-and‑slide units and 5 bays of two‑level lift-and‑slide units; two of these bays are also configured in a front‑and‑rear layout, offering a total of 195 parking spaces.

Analysis of the Asset Scale in China’s Automated Multi‑Storey Parking Industry
Following the reform and opening-up policies, China’s automotive industry began to take off. The 21st century ushered in a period of rapid development. Compared with Europe, Japan, and South Korea, China’s automated parking equipment sector started relatively late. During the first two decades, progress was slow; as late as 1996, annual sales and installations of parking equipment nationwide totaled fewer than 1,000 parking spaces. By 2016, the country had added 2,215 new parking facilities, with 2,080 added in 2015—a year-on-year increase of 6.5%. However, according to theoretical estimates, the demand for conventional parking spaces stood at 75,824 in 2016, indicating that the actual number of available parking spaces fell far short of the required level.

For two‑story lift‑and‑slide automated parking systems, is it better to use wire ropes or chains?
Two‑story lift‑and‑slide automated parking systems are the most common type of automated garage, accounting for roughly 70% of the market share among all automated parking solutions and typically found in building basements. In general, converting a single‑level parking space into a two‑level one can increase parking capacity by about 70%. The primary drive mechanisms include motor‑plus‑chain and motor‑plus‑wire‑rope systems. Another option is hydraulic drive, but it holds a very small market share and tends to have a higher failure rate. Here, we’ll compare two motor‑driven models as a starting point. Two‑story lift‑and‑slide automated parking systems driven by motors: What is a two‑story lift?
