Beijing’s local standards are set to be released, making these features the “standard equipment” for service areas and parking zones.

Whether on expressways or on ordinary national and municipal roads, service areas and parking areas will be equipped with standard facilities such as parking lots, charging stations, third‑gender restrooms, and nursing rooms. According to reports, the draft of Beijing’s local standard, “Land Use Standards for Auxiliary Facilities on Arterial Highways,” has been posted on the website of the Municipal Market Supervision Administration for public consultation. Under the draft, parking lots, charging stations, restrooms, and other amenities will become mandatory features at service areas and parking areas along expressways, ordinary national highways, and ordinary municipal roads. Moreover, service areas on expressways, ordinary national highways, and ordinary municipal roads must also provide rest zones, convenience stores, and information services. The reporter noted that…

Parking Updates | Starting in December, Changping District in Beijing will implement electronic payment for on-street parking.

According to the Urban Management Committee of Beijing’s Changping District, starting December 1, 33 roads in Changping’s urban area and the “Huitian” region will implement on-street electronic parking fee collection. A total of 5,468 on-street high‑pole electronic parking spaces will be divided into two categories: white solid‑line spaces for daytime use and white dashed‑line spaces reserved for nighttime parking. Following the reform, residents can download the “Beijing Traffic” app or pay at designated banks. As part of Beijing’s third batch of on‑street parking electronic fee‑collection reforms, Changping will adhere to the principles of parking only in designated spots, paying for parking, and penalizing illegal parking, thereby standardizing parking fee collection and creating favorable conditions for residents’ travel. Among these, white solid‑line spaces are primarily intended for temporary stops during trips, 24…

Multi‑storey Parking | The multi‑storey parking garage at the north gate of Yulin City People’s Park has begun to rise.

At the construction site of the multi‑storey parking garage at the north entrance of Yulin City People’s Park, reporters observed a bustling scene: mobile crane trucks were lifting and transporting materials to each floor. According to Manager Luo, the project leader, the main structural framework of the 17‑story parking tower is now largely complete; work is underway to install the exterior walls, after which the facility will enter the commissioning phase. The multi‑storey parking garage at the north entrance of Yulin City People’s Park is a key public‑interest project for the city, located on the southeast side of South Inner Ring Road, adjacent to the park’s north gate. It is being developed by Yulin Public Parking Lot Investment Management Co., Ltd., with design services provided by the Yulin Urban and Rural Planning & Design Institute, and constructed by Guangxi Daye Construction Group.

China’s first “inclined‑type” parking garage—parking capacity instantly increases by 160%!

China’s first “inclined‑type” parking garage—parking capacity instantly increases by 160%!

In recent years, with the dramatic increase in private car ownership, China’s passenger car fleet surpassed 200 million for the first time by the end of 2018, and the number of licensed drivers exceeded 400 million, turning “parking difficulties” into a widespread urban problem. To boost parking density per unit area, developers have introduced multi‑storey garages and various parking racks; however, given the large size of parking facilities and the sheer volume of vehicles, drivers still face the hassle of manually searching for an available spot. Recently, the nation’s first “flat‑inclined” smart parking garage was put into operation in Chongqing. This innovative inclined‑parking system allows drivers to simply drive their cars onto the intelligent rack, after which the rack automatically tilts to position the vehicle.

Important Notice: Have you ensured proper traffic management in the parking lot?

Major Notice: Are You Keeping Order in the Parking Lot? As we all know, life is inseparable from food, clothing, shelter, and transportation—and “transportation” is a key component, with road traffic at its heart. Road traffic is closely tied to our daily lives, and ensuring traffic safety is of utmost importance. Many people assume that traffic safety means simply following rules while driving, but in fact, maintaining order and safety in parking lots is equally critical and deserves our attention. Take this cautionary example: Can’t you see that huge “No Parking” sign?! Parking in the aisle is extremely dangerous! Wow, how overbearing—occupying three spaces with just one car! Do you think this is a diagonal‑parking spot? “This road is mine, and this car is mine!”

The themed salon “Market Opportunities and Investment Strategies in China’s Parking Industry” will be held in Chongqing on December 2!

Chongqing’s Chaotianmen: When parking spaces are counted at a 1:1 ratio relative to residential units, and valued at one-tenth of the property’s market price, the annual value of newly added parking spaces exceeds RMB 1 trillion. Meanwhile, China’s total stock of real estate assets has already surpassed RMB 200 trillion; given the relatively low parking‑to‑unit ratios in older residential communities, even a conservative estimate puts the corresponding parking‑asset base at no less than RMB 10 trillion. Today, China’s parking‑related revenue stands at several hundred billion yuan annually, with the potential to grow into a market worth trillions. Furthermore, sales of automated multi‑storey parking systems exceed RMB 10 billion per year, leaving ample room for future expansion. The market outlook is highly attractive.
