Parking Updates | MIIT: Plans to achieve a 25% share of new energy vehicle sales by 2025

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s website, the ministry recently released the “New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021–2035)” (draft for public comment). The draft proposes that by 2025, the competitiveness of the new energy vehicle market will be significantly enhanced, with major breakthroughs in key technologies such as power batteries, drive motors, and in-vehicle operating systems, and that new energy vehicles will account for approximately 25% of total new car sales. The draft further states that, through 15 years of sustained efforts, China aims to bring its core new energy vehicle technologies to an internationally leading level, ensure that its brands and quality are highly competitive on the global stage, and enable China to join the ranks of the world’s automotive powerhouses. Pure electric vehicles are expected to become mainstream.

The main campus of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University offers 1,296 parking spaces, ensuring ample availability and creating a “barrier-free” traffic experience for patients. At 11:00 a.m. on November 28, our reporter visited the hospital’s main campus, which has four entrances—east, south, west, and north. The east gate serves as the entrance to the hospital dormitory area, while patients can access the facility through the west, south, or north gates. To pioneer a new “barrier-free” approach to patient transportation, no guard post has been set up at the south gate. On site, the reporter observed numerous parking spaces. A representative from the hospital’s Publicity Department explained that, to better serve patients, the hospital has designated parking areas near each building.
