Reporters learned from the Yuhui District Government of Bengbu City that a new payment option has recently been introduced at the parking lot located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Weisi Road and Tushan Road, at Bengbu Second People’s Hospital: contactless parking fee payments via WeChat Pay and Alipay.
The parking lot offers three payment options: first, cash; second, scan‑and‑pay at the exit, where a license‑plate recognition system automatically displays the vehicle’s plate number, parking duration, and the amount due—RMB 5 for two hours—and allows you to leave by simply scanning a QR code with WeChat or Alipay; third, seamless contactless payment via WeChat or Alipay QR codes.

The parking facility employs a relatively advanced vertical‑circulation system; though it occupies the space of only six parking spots, it can accommodate 40 vehicles. The multi‑storey car park is divided into three sections: one with nine levels and two with seven levels, each level capable of parking two cars. Construction of this multi‑storey parking structure follows a BOT (Build–Operate–Transfer) concession model, under which the government and the developer agree on a fixed concession period—currently set at eight years. Upon expiration of the term, the operator is required to transfer ownership of the facility to the government free of charge.
