Mechanical multi-story parking garage It is a mechanical system designed to store vehicles and serves as a powerful solution to urban parking challenges, with multi‑storey car parks categorized into eight major types.
1. Vertical lift type This type of land boasts high utilization efficiency, with the space of three garage bays capable of accommodating 50 to 80 stacked parking spaces.
2. Planar motion Type The parking configuration is highly flexible, allowing for placement on intermediate floors or on the building’s rooftop.
3. Aisle stacking Type It operates within the roadway, with the vehicle platform both lifting and traveling simultaneously.
4. Vertical circulation type This type of equipment is characterized by its flexible configuration, compact footprint, smooth operation, short vehicle‑retrieval time, low energy consumption, and minimal vibration and noise. It meets energy‑saving and environmental‑protection standards, while being easy to install and relocate, with a short construction period, making it well suited for operational use. It can be widely deployed in public spaces where parking is scarce, such as hospitals, banks, shopping malls, corporate facilities, residential communities, scenic areas, train stations, and docks.
5. Multilevel loop Type Its key features include flexible configuration, high energy consumption, and the need to move all other vehicles when retrieving or parking a single car—making it incompatible with today’s mainstream emphasis on energy efficiency and environmental protection.
6. Horizontal Loop Type Very similar to multi-layered loop structures, it is a deprecated type.
7. Lifting and lateral movement Type The system offers fast vehicle access, low costs, and high customer acceptance; however, it also has a high failure rate, which translates into substantial maintenance expenses.
8. Simple lifting type It features a simple, practical design and requires no special ground‑level foundations, making it ideal for industrial facilities, villas, and residential parking lots.
