With Lu’an’s rapid development, the city’s motor vehicle ownership has surged, giving rise to increasingly acute problems of haphazard parking and severe parking shortages. Alleviating traffic congestion and addressing parking difficulties have become pressing concerns for Lu’an residents.

Major news has just broken: Our reporter learned from the Lu’an Municipal Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau that Lu’an is planning to build a new multi‑level, underground parking facility, and the corresponding feasibility study report has already been approved.

According to relevant officials from the city’s Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau, the “Official Letter on Submitting the Feasibility Study Report for the Three-Dimensional (including Underground) Parking Project in Lu’an City’s Urban Area” (Luanchengjian Han [2020] No. 92), which was previously submitted to the Lu’an Municipal Development and Reform Commission, has now been reviewed and approved by the Commission. With the rapid increase in the number of motor vehicles, urban parking shortages have become increasingly acute. To alleviate these parking challenges, we hereby approve, in principle, the construction plan outlined in the project’s feasibility study report.

The reporter noted that the “Feasibility Study Report on Three-Dimensional (Including Underground) Parking Facilities in Lu’an City’s Urban Area” conducts a thorough analysis of factors such as the proposed site and the scale of construction.

Three-dimensional parking garage at the inpatient department of the Fourth People’s Hospital: One 25‑story aboveground mechanical multi‑level parking structure, two 6‑story aboveground mechanical multi‑level parking structures, and one 3‑story underground mechanical multi‑level parking garage have been constructed, providing a total of 735 parking spaces.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Multi‑Story Parking Garage: Six new 12-story mechanical parking structures have been built, providing a total of 1,200 parking spaces.

People’s Hospital Multi-Story Parking Garage: Six new seven-story mechanical multi‑level parking structures have been built, providing a total of 780 parking spaces.
