      As China’s economy and society continue to develop rapidly, the number of motor vehicles in the country has also maintained a strong growth trend, with recent… With an average annual increase of 14 million vehicles over the past five years, according to the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, by the end of March 2017, the national motor vehicle stock had surpassed 300 million, and 49 cities each had more than one million vehicles. The growing difficulty of parking has become a pressing challenge faced by many urban areas. Closely attuned to evolving societal needs, Newcoren established a research and development project for innovative multi‑level parking structures in April 2016. Over the course of one year, the project progressed through product research and analysis, R&D and design, manufacturing and installation, and final automated control commissioning, culminating recently in a successful trial run.

The parking garage comprises a lightweight steel‑frame structure, intelligent stacker cranes, comb‑type transfer conveyors, a safety monitoring system, an automated control system, and a garage management system. It features fully automated magnetic‑card and touchscreen‑based vehicle access, offering convenience, efficiency, and reliable safety. Its modular design enables rapid reconfiguration and flexible assembly, shortening the production cycle and reducing capital investment. By making efficient use of existing parking space, it multiplies storage capacity while remaining cost‑effective and practical. The rooftop is equipped with solar panels that generate on‑site power, promoting energy conservation and environmental protection, while also providing shade, sun protection, and snow‑resistance.

“This product represents a completely new and innovative solution compared to existing parking structures on the market. It incorporates cutting-edge vehicle handover and handling technology, enabling both storage and retrieval in a forward‑moving direction—eliminating the need for reversing—making it simple and convenient,” said Meng Wensheng, Deputy Director of the General Products Research Institute at Newcoren. “Moreover, the system offers flexible layout and strong environmental adaptability, allowing for rapid, site‑specific modifications based on local conditions. Parking racks can be installed above waterways or streets, or retrofitted atop existing parking spaces or green areas, making them suitable for a wide range of settings, including residential communities, urban streets, and landscaped zones.”

It is reported that the product has been granted one invention patent and four utility‑model patents, boasting superior overall performance. It represents another significant achievement in Nuokelun’s strategy of product differentiation and its drive to upgrade its product portfolio.
