At present, vigorously developing smart parking has become the central focus for major cities nationwide in addressing the challenge of parking shortages. Leveraging its unique technological advantages—namely, “Internet plus artificial intelligence”—as well as cost‑effective benefits in both management and equipment expenses, smart parking has significantly enhanced urban static traffic efficiency and improved the utilization rate of parking resources, emerging as a key trend in the future of the parking industry.
To address the challenge of parking shortages and align with the smart‑technology-driven evolution of the transportation sector, the Chongqing municipal government has actively introduced relevant implementation plans, including the construction of new automated parking garages and the intelligent upgrading of existing parking spaces. Chongqing’s “smart parking” initiative began in 2016, with districts such as Liangjiang New Area, Nan’an District, and Yubei District rolling out pilot projects that have yielded tangible results. For instance, Yubei District launched a “smart parking” pilot program for on‑street parking spaces, integrating data from 3,722 parking spots across the district. Meanwhile, real estate developers like Longfor, China Resources, and Xie Xin have independently developed their own “smart parking” systems, primarily covering parking facilities at their commercial and residential properties, at one point managing more than 10,000 parking spaces.

Seizing this opportunity, the “2019 Second China (Chongqing) Smart Parking and Multi‑Storey Garage Exhibition,” organized by Chongqing Zhonghuan Convention & Exhibition, will be held from September 27 to 29 at the Chongqing International Expo Center. Concurrently, the Second China (Chongqing) Smart Property Management Expo will also take place. The previous edition of the event was successfully staged in Chongqing in September 2018, spanning a total exhibition area of 6,000 square meters. It attracted exhibitors including Shenzhen Xiangheng, Deliyun, Juzhongyuan, Xiamen Zongxing, Lianzhanghui, Yunting Zhilian, Ankua, Qinlin, Liangdian Network, and Aike Zhibo, among others. The show received strong support from property management associations in districts and counties such as Beibei, Qijiang, Fuling, Banan, and Yuzhong; the Chongqing Cleaning Services Industry Association; the Chongqing Real Estate Association; real estate developers including Longfor, Jinke, Xin’oupeng, Sunac, Xindongyuan, and Longxin; as well as major hotels, hospitals, and schools across the city, all of whom sent delegations to attend and explore the exhibition.
The 2019 exhibition has been further upgraded and enjoys broad, authoritative support.
This year’s Smart Parking Exhibition is expected to cover an area of 20,000 square meters and will attract more than 350 leading domestic and international manufacturers and suppliers to Chongqing, showcasing cutting-edge smart parking systems and equipment. To increase public awareness of smart parking and provide a comprehensive understanding of intelligent multi‑level parking facilities, while strengthening collaboration with industry associations in neighboring provinces and municipalities, the exhibition has received strong support from the Sichuan Province Parking Services Industry Association, the Wuhan Motor Vehicle Parking Industry Association, the Shenzhen Parking Technology Enterprises Industry Association, and the Chongqing Real Estate Association. These organizations will actively organize their member companies to participate in the event and arrange site visits. The participation of these associations will leverage their respective strengths, channels, and resources, helping to build a professional platform for business exchange and trade, jointly advancing the intelligent transformation of the parking industry, improving urban static traffic conditions, and contributing to the development of smart cities.
