On June 13, Shougang Fund’s S-PARK and the School of Design at the Central Academy of Fine Arts signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will engage in in-depth collaboration across multiple areas, including smart city renewal initiatives, innovative parking‑complex projects, spatial art and visual communication, and brand‑culture dissemination. Attending the signing ceremony were Professor Lü Pinjing, Member of the CPC Committee Standing Committee and Vice President of the Central Academy of Fine Arts; Professor Wang Ziyuan, Secretary of the Party General Branch of the School of Design; Professor Jin Jun, Vice Dean; as well as Liang Hengyi, Managing Director of Shougang Fund’s S-PARK; Chief Product Officer Liu Shuyi; heads of the Asset Management and Planning & Design Departments; and leaders of specialized programs within the School of Design, such as mobility innovation, social innovation engineering design, and smart city studies.

Liang Hengyi stated that parking is a critical piece of infrastructure, and has long faced issues such as insufficient parking spaces and poor parking‑lot experiences. Shougang Fund S-PARK is increasing parking capacity through investment and infrastructure development, while leveraging technology to enhance the efficiency of existing parking spaces. Through this strategic partnership with the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the company also aims to infuse its parking solutions with humanistic elements, elevating them to a higher level. This initiative not only addresses the company’s need for transformation but also reflects its commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Lü Pinjing believes that the Shougang Fund S-PARK’s decision to focus on parking and urban regeneration as its core business areas is highly valuable, offering significant contributions to addressing urban challenges and warranting thorough investigation. By aligning S-PARK’s strategic priorities with the research conducted at the Academy of Fine Arts, meaningful outcomes are sure to emerge. It is hoped that these results will transcend the narrow scope of individual space‑level renovations and upgrades, embracing more systemic, higher‑order thinking—exploring new possibilities for mobility concepts and parking practices, and integrating complementary uses to imbue the parking experience with deeper significance. Such efforts would not only help tackle pressing social issues but also hold substantial value for educational reform and academic research.
Following the symposium, Managing Director Liang Hengyi and Secretary Wang Ziyuan signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties.
