Is a multi‑storey car park convenient for beginners who can’t park? What are the actual advantages of a multi‑storey car park?

Is a multi‑storey car park convenient for beginners who can’t park? What are the actual advantages of a multi‑storey car park?

There are many types of automated parking systems, each with its own unique advantages and suitable applications. Looking ahead, the development of automated parking in China is likely to follow two main trends: one emphasizes ease of use, simple mechanisms, and low cost, enabling convenient parking with minimal investment; the other focuses on large-scale parking facilities that incorporate advanced technology, superior performance, and rapid vehicle retrieval. In today’s urban environments, where land is extremely valuable, the challenge is how to make the most of existing urban land—such as marginal plots, roadside spaces, and residential neighborhoods—areas that are small, scattered, and difficult to develop into conventional large parking lots, in order to meet parking demand. To address this, it is essential to design and construct a variety of tailored automated parking solutions.

An Introduction to the Most Collectible Types of Multi‑Level Parking Structures

An Introduction to the Most Collectible Types of Multi‑Level Parking Structures 1. Lift‑and‑Slide and Lateral‑Shift Parking Systems: These mechanical parking systems store and retrieve vehicles by lifting or laterally shifting the vehicle‑carrying platform. Features: With a wide variety of configurations, scalable in size, and highly adaptable to different site conditions, they are widely used. Key components include the steel structure, the vehicle‑carrying platform, the chain‑drive system, the control system, and safety protection measures. Such systems account for approximately 70% of the parking equipment market share. Limitations: Each unit must reserve at least one empty parking space; moreover, the chain‑driven operation lacks built‑in mechanisms to prevent tilting or falling. 2. Vertical‑Cycle Mechanical Parking Systems: These systems perform vertical‑direction cycling operations.

Nanjing has unveiled a “Ferris Wheel Garage” to tackle the city’s parking shortage!

Parking scarcity has long been a major challenge in China’s urban development. To make better use of limited land, cities typically build parking facilities underground. However, this approach has a significant drawback: during the rainy season, these underground lots are prone to flooding. Has no one considered alternative solutions? Abroad, innovative parking methods are constantly emerging—some even incorporate cutting-edge technology. Recently, Nanjing in China has introduced a novel parking system: a multi‑level garage that resembles a Ferris wheel, with suspended gondolas spaced at regular intervals. Vehicles are parked inside these gondolas, which rotate along with the structure. A single “Ferris wheel”‑style multi‑level garage stands roughly 20 meters tall.

Parking in the residential community is a test for the property management company.

Parking in the residential community is a test for the property management company.

When we find ourselves among residents of a housing community, complaints are the most common occurrence. As consumers, homeowners who have invested heavily in purchasing their homes often face frustrating traffic congestion—“gridlock on the roads during the day and in the neighborhood at night”—which naturally breeds discontent. Although the number and location of parking spaces in a community are typically fixed at the planning stage, it is extremely challenging for property management companies to meet the ever‑growing demand for parking, a task that can feel like trying to build a temple in a snail shell. Alleviating residents’ concerns is an inescapable responsibility for every property management firm. In many communities, the shortage of parking spaces and the resulting scarcity can easily spark conflicts among residents.

Why is it becoming increasingly difficult for HR at startups to recruit talent?

Why is it becoming increasingly difficult for HR at startups to recruit talent?

Why is it becoming increasingly difficult for HR teams at startups to hire? The 2019 recruitment market has been anything but calm, and HR professionals at small companies—especially startups—are finding it harder and harder to fill open positions. Just how tough is it? Recently, a friend of mine who works in HR at an internet startup in Hangzhou told me that the company needed to hire several software engineers. With urgent hiring needs, their team of two full-time HR staff plus one intern spent over a month scouring various channels (excluding headhunters) and collected more than 100 resumes. After screening down to about 50 candidates who met the basic requirements, they managed to extend interview invitations to only around ten people—and ultimately extended just one offer, which was quite disappointing.
